Infamous Hacker Group Anonymous Introduces Its Own Cryptocurrency

A new video has surfaced on YouTube by Anonymous, one of the most well-known hacker groups to have ever existed. The group’s representative stated that due to the recent actions of Elon Musk and China, Anonymous should be launching its very own coin, known as Anon Inu, in an effort to help bolster Bitcoin (BTC) and the crypto market following the recent crash.

Anonymous had come into existence back in 2003 via a 4chan message board, and over the years, it has managed to deal several cyber-attacks on various corporations, institutions, and governments, which it feels is ‘corrupt.’ Anonymous claims to have always had the best interests of the people at heart when carrying out these attacks, which has led to many all over the world praising the group, whereas others have strongly condemned it.

Anonymous reappears

Anonymous had attacked notable institutions in the past, such as but not limited to PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, as well as governmental agencies and offices based in Israel, Uganda, Tunisia, and the United States.

The FBI had gotten involved back in 2011, and a serious crackdown by the bureau had resulted in the group’s activities and presence drastically decreasing, which was also around the time when LulzSec (an Anonymous sub-group) had been arrested. Sometime around eight months ago, however, the group had re-emerged and gradually began posting videos online, with the most recent one being centered around cryptocurrency, China, and Elon Musk. To that end, the Anon Inu coin is apparently a new kind of token that is a direct response to the Tesla CEO and the impact he tends to have on the cryptocurrency markets thanks to his tweets and other related actions. The coin had also been created in order to challenge China for leaving crypto behind in favor of a CBDC, namely the digital yuan.

The fight is on

Many have since claimed that the current situation is akin to that of a Hollywood movie, and while we can argue about the absolute absurdity of what is going on for as long as we want, it does not change the fact that the hacker group has been quite influential in the past, as it had acquired members from all over the planet and conducted numerous attacks and even made the news on multiple occasions.

The group is supportive of the crypto industry and believes that it is only now truly getting started. The new Anon Inu token will have different built-in utilities and shall be used to combat Elon in the so-called ‘meme war.’ Holders of Anon Inu shall be airdropped NFTs, extra free tokens, and various other prizes regularly. The token is reportedly going to be operating via BSC (Binance Smart Chain) and is said to have a total circulating supply of 1,000,000,000,000,000 (1 quadrillion) tokens. While the roadmap does not include any technical upgrades, there are plans for influencer partnerships and a potential listing on CoinMarketCap.
